I've been a fan of H.P Lovecraft for a long time. His bleak, horrific vision affected me from the first tale of his I read; The Music of Erich Zann.

Since then, his influence on my own creativity has been profound. Manifesting itself in paintings, drawings, stories, games and comics.

You could say I'm a Cthulhu freak.

So what exactly is a Cthulhu anyway, you might be wondering..

Cthulhu (Kuh-Thool-hu) is the creation of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, one of the most influential horror writers of the 20th century and the progenitor of the genre known as "cosmic horror".

Recurring themes in Lovecrafts work include the realization of terrible forbidden knowledge, genetic degeneracy, madness, alien creatures living among us (Cthulhu being one of these) and the insignifigance of mans existance in the cosmos.

As far as being an artist goes, it's in my blood.. always has been. I've always drawn and always been drawn to the weird and unusual.

My pursuit of art as a profession has brought me to Nova Scotia where I work for an animation studio designing kids shows... speaking of cosmic horror..
